{ SITTING IN THE GATE OF THE KING }

The mightiest aircraft carriers afloat belong to the United States of America.  The largest banks in the world belong to the United States of America.  The best equiped military known to the world belong to the United States of America.  The wisest lawyers in the world live in the United States of America.  The best hospitals in the world are located in the United States of America.  The grandest National Parks ever known are located in the United States of America.  None of these things were in existence when God began the works that would set the course of creation in motion.  As we read the first 25 verses of the book of Genesis, we see that God created oceans and mountains, trees and pastures, sun, moon and stars, we see whales, birds and all manner of beasts.  After each and every act of creation, God looked over the finished product and “SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD.”  In the 26th verse, we read, “AND GOD SAID, LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, AFTER OUR LIKENESS: AND LET THEM HAVE DOMINION OVER THE FISH OF THE SEA, AND OVER THE FOWL OF THE AIR, AND OVER THE CATTLE, AND OVER ALL THE EARTH, AND OVER EVERY CREEPING THING THAT CREEPETH UPON THE EARTH.”  With the creation of mankind, we see for the first time during the days of creation an instance where God looked over his handiwork and couldn’t find it in his heart to declare “THIS IS GOOD.”  Let us not forget that God already knew the heart of man and the direction that man would follow.  Keep this thought in mind as you continue through this post.

Let’s look at some interesting scripture from the 2nd chapter of the book of Daniel.  During the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, king of the Babylonian empire, we discover the king has dreamed a troubling dream.  Unfortuninately, the king has forgotten the dream that troubles him so.  When none of King Nebuchadnezzar’s magicians, astrologers, nor sorcerers were able to formulate the forgotten dream that they might interpret it, the king ordered that they all be put to death.  Among the wise men of Babylon was a young Jewish man by the name of Daniel who was also to be put to death, however, Daniel spoke with Arioch, Captian of the kings guard assuring him that God would be able to provide the forgotten dream.  Following is the dream that the king had found so disturbing found in the 2nd chapter of the book of Daniel, verses 31-35.

“THOU, O KING, SAWEST, AND BEHOLD A GREAT IMAGE.  THIS GREAT IMAGE, WHOSE BRIGHTNESS WAS EXCELLENT, STOOD BEFORE THEE; AND THE FORM THEREOF WAS TERRIBLE.  THIS IMAGE’S HEAD WAS OF FINE GOLD, HIS BREAST AND HIS ARMS OF SILVER, HIS BELLY AND HIS THIGHS OF BRASS, HIS LEGS OF IRON, HIS FEET PART OF IRON AND PART OF CLAY.  THOU SAWEST TILL THAT A STONE WAS CUT OUT WITHOUT HANDS, WHICH SMOTE THE IMAGE UPON HIS FEET THAT WERE OF IRON AND CLAY, AND BRAKE THEM TO PIECES.  THEN WAS THE IRON, THE CLAY, THE BRASS, THE SILVER, AND THE GOLD BROKEN TO PIECES TOGETHER, AND BECAME LIKE THE CHAFF OF THE SUMMER THRESHING-FLOORS; AND THE WIND CARRIED THEM AWAY, THAT NO PLACE WAS FOUND FOR THEM: AND THE STONE THAT SMOTE THE IMAGE BECAME A GREAT MOUNTAIN, AND FILLED THE WHOLE EARTH.”

Watch with me and see Bible prophesy in action before your eyes as Daniel gives the interpretation of that dream from two thousand, six hundred and fourteen years ago.  This dream will begin with a king of an ancient world power that God regarded as “FINE GOLD,” and diminished into the remaining super power of the world that God regards as nothing more than “MIRY CLAY.”  Look at verses 37 through 43.  “THOU, O KING, ART A KING OF KINGS: FOR THE GOD OF HEAVEN HATH GIVEN THEE A KINGDOM, POWER, AND STRENGTH, AND GLORY.  AND WHERESOEVER THE CHILDREN OF MEN DWELL, THE BEASTS OF THE FIELD AND THE FOWLS OF THE HEAVEN HATH HE GIVEN UNTO THINE HAND, AND HATH MADE THEE RULER OVER ALL.  THOU ART THIS HEAD OF GOLD.  AND AFTER THEE SHALL ARISE ANOTHER KINGDOM INFERIOR TO THEE, AND ANOTHER THIRD KINGDOM OF BRASS, WHICH SHALL BEAR RULE OVER ALL THE EARTH.  AND THE FOURTH KINGDOM SHALL BE STRONG AS IRON: FORASMUCH AS IRON BREAKETH IN PIECES AND SUBDUETH ALL THINGS: AND AS IRON THAT BREAKETH ALL THESE, SHALL IT BREAK IN PIECES AND BRUISE.  AND WHEREAS THOU SAWEST THE FEET AND TOES, PART OF POTTER’S CLAY, AND PART OF IRON, THE KINGDOM SHALL BE DIVIDED; BUT THERE SHALL BE IN IT OF THE STRENGTH OF IRON, FORASMUCH AS THOU SAWEST THE IRON MIXED WITH MIRY CLAY.  AND AS THE TOES OF THE FEET WERE PART OF IRON, AND PART OF CLAY, SO THE KINGDOM SHALL BE PARTLY STRONG, AND PARTLY BROKEN.  AND WHEREAS THOU SAWEST IRON MIXED WITH MIRY CLAY, THEY SHALL MINGLE THEMSELVES WITH THE SEED OF MEN: BUT THEY SHALL NOT CLEAVE ONE TO ANOTHER, EVEN AS IRON IS NOT MIXED WITH CLAY.”

America, you must understand this; those things that King Nebuchadnezzar observed as prophesy, we in this industrialised world are living as current events.  We should hang our heads in shame that this great nation, the United States of America that has the strength of iron at our command, has allowed the voice of slothful, lazy, vulgar, ill bred protestors to mix the mud of discontent with the metal of our ironclad constitution, plunging us to a nation “INFERIOR” to an ancient kingdom that exists only in ruins.  When the United States government trashes the Constitution of the United States of America, to stand shoulder to shoulder with demonstrators on American streets, that “mixes the iron of government with miry clay of insurrection.”  WHAT THE BLAZES DO YOU THINK SIX THOUSAND YEARS OF UNTARNISHED TRUTH IS TELLING YOU ABOUT THIS SINGLE GENERATION OF REBELS?  The Congress and the Senate; Democrats and Republicans alike are a disgrace to every fallen American patriot for allowing the voice of anarchy on the streets to become the law of the land.  YOU HAVE FAILED AND FAILED MISERABLY AT PROTECTING THE “CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”  You don’t deserve your title and you don’t deserve your position.  The Christian people of the United States aren’t a bunch of “Jonny Come Lately’s” imposing their views upon this generation of mal-contents!  We the people of this day in the United States of America are the same “We The People” mentioned in ”The Constitution of the United States of America.”  It is those unruly, filthy, unGodly, ill mannered, pot smoking, main lining addicts on the streets that have imposed their views upon “WE THE PEOPLE” that have carried this nation to her position of greatness.

America; BE SURE OF THIS!  This is what’s happening even as I write this article.  Verses 44 & 45.  “AND IN THE DAYS OF THESE KINGS SHALL THE GOD OF HEAVEN SET UP A KINGDOM, WHICH SHALL NEVER BE DESTROYED: AND THE KINGDOM SHALL NOT BE LEFT TO OTHER PEOPLE, BUT IT SHALL BREAK IN PIECES AND CONSUME ALL THESE KINGDOMS, AND IT SHALL STAND FOREVER.  FORASMUCH AS THOU SAWEST THAT THE STONE WAS CUT OUT OF THE MOUNTAIN WITHOUT HANDS, AND THAT IT BREAK IN PIECES THE IRON, THE BRASS, THE CLAY, THE SILVER, AND THE GOLD; THE GREAT GOD HATH MADE KNOWN UNTO THE KING WHAT SHALL COME TO PASS HEREAFTER: AND THE DREAM IS CERTAIN, AND THE INTERPRETATION THEREOF SURE.”

This is not the sad truth…THIS IS THE GREAT TRUTH!  You can not build a house on top of another house; you must first remove or tear down the existing house to make room for the new.  The same holds true for kingdoms; YOU CAN NOT BUILD AN ETERNAL KINGDOM ON TOP OF A TEMPORARY KINGDOM; YOU MUST FIRST REMOVE THE TEMPORARY!  Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the Stone that was hewed out of the mountain that came rolling through the kingdoms of this world.  IT IS THAT STONE THAT AMERICA HAS REJECTED THAT IS “BREAKING IN PIECES THE IRON, THE BRASS, THE CLAY, THE SILVER, AND THE GOLD.”  Go ahead and read verse number 45 once again.  However, know this; there is a place of honor in a Kingdom and Daniel was seated at that place of honor.  The last part of verse # 49 tells us; “BUT DANIEL SAT IN THE GATE OF THE KING.” 

America, you don’t even want to mention his name on the day of the celebration of his birth.  You don’t want to honor his ways and you deny his existence while forbidding your children to learn of his ways.  WHO IS IT THAT IS BROKEN?  IS YOUR CONSTITUTION INTACT OR IS IT BROKEN?  IS YOUR HOUSING INDUSTRY INTACT OR IS IT BROKEN?  IS YOUR ECONOMY INTACT OR IS IT BROKEN?  IS YOUR GOVERNMENT INTACT OR IS IT BROKEN?  IS YOUR BANKING INDUSTRY INTACT OR IS IT BROKEN?  IS YOUR SOCIETY INTACT OR IS IT BROKEN?  As I look at the broken world about me, I am keenly aware that there is very little about me that remains unbroken.  I know that Lord Jesus shall return soon.  Once he came as a babe and was placed in a manger in a lowly stable.  When he returns, he will no longer travel alone but he shall be leading the armies of Heaven and even now he is making room for Heaven’s Host, therefore I am greatly honored “TO SIT IN THE GATE OF THE KING.”
